Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Wow!!! This hotel blew us away, the decor the staff the location, everything was amazing. Absolutely loved our stay here, rooms have lovely views as well as a swimming pool and gym. Highly recommend staying here when doing a safari. We were part of a tour package but I think you can stay with the hotel and they also take people out on safaris. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in!!

The Serena experience cannot be beat! My sister and I booked a multi-stop east african vacation (Nairobi, Masai Mara, Kigali, Lake Kivu, Gorilla Trek, Zanzibar) through Serena tours - so easy, so accommodating, responsive, and very reasonable prices (great value for a top-notch experience). From the Tour Advisors, to the personal drivers (from and to airports), to the concierges, to the beautifully updated rooms, the housekeepers, the laundry, the baggage, the chefs, the servers, the pool-side guards, the professional wilderness and city guides - each and every detail and service was delivered with reliability, security, precision, care, grace, excellence and the highest level of hospitality . The homey feel, the family friendly staff, the lovely vistas, fully equipped gym, and the highly trained and personable wildlife guides - made for another perfect trip to one of the most beautiful places on earth.

We were here in October and flew in again for a New Year's Eve party. We were greeted by manager Kathurima Mburugu along with his assistant Mary Waceke. Mary arranged for us to stay in the smallest detail. We were picked up from Jomo Kenyatta airport and taken to Nairobi Serena Hotel. After breakfast we were transported to Wilson Airport, from where we flew to Masai Mara. The New Year's Eve party was great, we danced for a few hours. The next few days are a constant safari and admiring the magnificent landscapes and animals. Despite the tall grass, we easily met the big five. Ten nights passed and we set off on a journey back. We are planning another visit and we encourage all nature lovers to visit Mara Serena Safari Lodge. You won't regret it.

The customer service was completely stellar. Beautiful beautiful hotel, overlooking stunning savannah. The most comfortable bedding and pillows, comfortable room. Close but safe distance to the wildlife, so much so that I could here lions roaring in the distance. Also adored the spa and gym, enjoyed a complimentary steam bath with herbal tea. Overall, a wonderful stay.

My first time in Kenya and I definitely chose the right place. The lodge was incredibly beautiful with amazing views and location. The airstrip is a 5 minute drive away, giving easy access. Plus the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, be it Juma the game drive guide/driver, the people at the reception or Edwin the server at the restaurant. The rooms were clean, excellent facilities and the restaurant had delicious food. The Hippo Pool breakfast and night game drives are a must do! A must visit!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Mara Serena. The service was warm and all the staff were welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and the sheets had a nice scent. The views alla around the hotel were breathtaking. The food selection was diverse, with flavourful meals from a variety of cuisines. The entire experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend Mara Serena to anyone who wishes to visit the Mara.
